About the Role
The Financial Controller will oversee and manage all finance and accounting operations of the company in the United States, including general ledger management, statutory reporting, internal and external audits, tax compliance, budgeting, and cost control, in accordance with US GAAP.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily financial operations and ensure the accuracy and integrity of accounting records
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports in accordance with US GAAP
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning processes to support business objectives
- Maintain a strong internal control environment and ensure compliance with company finance policies and procedures and US regulatory requirements
- Supervise and support the accounting team in month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring timely and accurate reporting
- Liaise with external auditors, tax authorities, and financial institutions to ensure full compliance with US federal and state tax regulations
- Support business management in investment decisions, CAPEX reviews, and cost optimization initiatives
- Oversee accurate financial consolidation and ensure consistency between management and statutory reporting
- Partner with operational management to translate financial data into actionable insights for business improvement
- Prepare quarterly reports for board of director review
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in financial controlling, accounting or finance management, preferably in a US environment
- Excellent knowledge of US GAAP, financial reporting, and controlling processes
- Experience with US tax regulations, including federal and state filings
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Proficiency in accounting software, with hands-on experience in QuickBooks is essential
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and Google Sheets
- Fluency in English (written and spoken)
