About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Financial & Operations Analyst to oversee company finances, monitor cash flow, and support strategic decision-making within a growing transportation company.

This role goes beyond basic accounting — the ideal candidate will understand the operational side of transport and identify opportunities to reduce costs, improve efficiency, and maximize profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

Monitor and manage cash flow, expenses, and company budgets
Analyze cost structure (fuel, maintenance, insurance, payroll, factoring, etc.)
Identify areas for cost savings and operational efficiency
Assist in truck purchasing decisions (ROI analysis, financing vs. leasing, cost projections)
Track and evaluate profitability per truck / per load
Develop, track, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as cost per mile, revenue per mile, utilization, and profit margins
Provide actionable insights based on KPI analysis to improve overall performance
Work closely with dispatch, safety, and management teams
Prepare financial reports and performance insights
Optimize spending and vendor relationships
Support long-term financial planning and scaling strategies

Requirements

Strong understanding of financial management and budgeting
Experience in USA transport/logistics industry (preferred)
Analytical mindset with attention to detail
Ability to interpret both financial data and operational KPIs
Strong communication skills (English required)
Experience with tools such as Excel, TMS, or accounting software is a plus
