Financial Sector and Investment Expert / DEG Representative
The Expert’s role is to provide support to the project acquisition, preparation, implementation and monitoring process in close coordination with the office’s director and the respective head offices’ teams in Frankfurt and Cologne, Germany. To this end, he/she will
- build up and maintain excellent contacts to project partners and clients (i. e., banks, companies, consultancies) as a basis for the further development of the existing portfolio
- help to develop and analyse potential new projects in line with the Head Offices’ business and development strategies
- screen and assess project proposals received with regard to their plausibility and feasibility, including performing financial analysis of enterprises, structuring financing, preparing financial projections and conducting financial modeling
- prepare and support project appraisal and evaluation missions
- attend and minute meetings with clients
- draft documents and correspondence
- continuously research, monitor and report on market and sector developments (clients, projects, institutions, banks, politics, etc.)
- represent KfW Entwicklungsbank and DEG vis-à-vis all relevant partner institutions (associations, donor agencies, etc.), and during important events (i. e., conferences, donor meetings), and generally facilitate procedures and communication with partner institutions and support KfW’s Belgrade Office in its various functions
Necessary qualifications:
- University degree in Economics, Finance, Banking, Business Administration or related fields of study
- 4-6 years of experience in corporate sector finance and/or banking
- Credit analysis skills including ability to interpret company accounts
- Strong and proven analytical skills
- Financial structuring / project finance
- Computer literacy skills (MS Office, including spreadsheet packages and financial analysis models),
- Fluent in English (both written and spoken)
- Favourably also very good knowledge of German
- Excellent organizational skills
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, persuasive power, integrity, autonomy in the day-to-day work
- Proven ability to work in a team
