About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Fleet Maintenance Manager to oversee maintenance operations for our nationwide OTR fleet. This role is critical in ensuring our equipment remains safe, compliant, and operational while controlling costs and minimizing downtime.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage all aspects of maintenance for a nationwide OTR semi and straight truck fleet
Coordinate preventive maintenance, repairs, and inspections to reduce breakdowns and avoid DOT violations
Build and maintain relationships with repair shops, mobile mechanics, and parts vendors across the U.S.
Negotiate labor rates, parts pricing, and service agreements to ensure cost-effective operations
Develop and implement maintenance schedules and cost-control strategies
Monitor and track maintenance KPIs (downtime, cost per mile, breakdown frequency)
Maintain accurate records of repairs, service history, and parts inventory
Work closely with drivers and dispatch to resolve equipment issues quickly and efficiently
Ensure full compliance with DOT/FMCSA regulations and company safety standards
Analyze repair estimates and invoices to prevent overcharges and unnecessary replacements

Requirements:

2+ years of experience in fleet/maintenance (we will consider candidates with 6 months to 1 year of experience as well.)
Strong knowledge of diesel engines, straight and semi-truck systems, and trailers
Understanding of DOT/FMCSA regulations and compliance requirements
Experience negotiating with vendors and controlling maintenance costs
Ability to review and challenge repair estimates and invoices
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Experience with fleet management systems / maintenance software
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
