Freight Forwarder/Road Transport Dispatcher – International FTL Operations

Our client is a fast-growing road transport and logistics company that is new to our market and expanding across Europe, and we're looking for a talented Freight Forwarder / Dispatcher to join the client's team and help us build something exciting from the ground up.

About the Role

You'll take full ownership of organizing FTL (full truck load) shipments across major European routes — from negotiating prices with clients, to sourcing and contracting carriers, to tracking shipments and solving problems on the fly. This is a role for someone who thrives on autonomy and wants to see the direct impact of their work.

What You'll Actually Be Doing

• Organizing around 60–70 shipments per month, with a monthly turnover of €80,000–110,000 and a margin of 9–13% (€8,000–13,000/month per operator)
• Working mainly on routes such as Germany ↔ France, Italy ↔ Germany/Austria/France, Spain → Slovakia, and other European lanes
• Communicating daily with carriers across Europe: Lithuania, Poland, Austria, Slovakia, Croatia, Romania, etc., and with major clients — well-known freight and manufacturing companies: Dachser, Kühne+Nagel, Heppner, and similar
• Using freight exchanges: Timocom, Teleroute, etc., to find loads and carriers, and negotiating prices and payment terms
• Keeping accurate records in Excel: client and carrier rates, margins, references, invoices, CMR documentation

What We're Looking For

• Fluent business English, spoken and written — essential for daily communication with carriers and clients
• 2–3+ years of experience in freight forwarding / road transport organization, ideally FTL
• Solid understanding of the European transport market and basic documentation: CMR, transport orders
• Strong Excel skills
• A natural negotiator with a commercial mindset — your margin depends on your skill

Nice to Have

• German, French, or Italian, in addition to English
• Experience with freight exchanges like Timocom or Teleroute
• An existing network of carriers or clients in the European market
