About Edda
Edda is a fast-growing SaaS company building the operating platform for professional investment teams. Our technology is used by Venture Capital, Private Equity, and Corporate Venture Capital teams around the world to manage their deal flow, portfolios, contacts, documents, and investment processes in one place.
We work with more than 150 investment organizations, ranging from independent VC funds to major financial institutions and global corporations. Our mission is simple: help investment professionals spend less time managing fragmented tools and data, and more time making better decisions.
Edda is an international company with teams and operations across the United States, France, and Serbia. We work in a highly international environment, and English is our working language across the company. You’ll collaborate with colleagues from different countries, backgrounds, and functions on a daily basis.
Our culture is built around ownership, ambition, pragmatism, and trust. We value people who take responsibility for what they build, communicate openly, challenge existing assumptions, and focus on solving real problems rather than simply following processes. We move quickly, but we also care deeply about quality, reliability, and the long-term maintainability of our product.
We believe good ideas can come from anywhere in the company. Engineers, QA, product managers, designers, and customer-facing teams work closely together, and we expect everyone to contribute beyond the narrow boundaries of their role. Curiosity, autonomy, and a willingness to continuously improve are important parts of how we work.
Because Edda serves demanding professional and institutional customers, engineering quality is a core part of our product culture. Reliability, security, performance, scalability, and maintainability matter enormously to us. Our users rely on Edda every day to manage critical investment workflows and sensitive information, so the decisions we make in the codebase have a direct impact on the experience and trust of our customers.
As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a Full Stack Developer to join our engineering team and help us build the next generation of the Edda platform. You’ll work across both backend and frontend development, primarily with Laravel and Vue.js, contributing to new features, improving existing systems, solving complex technical challenges, and helping us continuously improve our architecture and engineering practices.
This is a role for someone who enjoys working on a real production SaaS product with meaningful complexity. You’ll have the opportunity to take ownership of features, influence technical decisions, collaborate closely with Product and QA, and contribute to a platform used by investment teams around the world.
If you enjoy building robust products, solving real-world engineering problems, and working in an international team where your technical decisions can have a visible impact, Edda could be a great place for you.
About the Position
We are looking for a Full Stack Developer to join Edda’s engineering team and help us build, improve, and scale our SaaS platform.
You will work across both the backend and frontend of the product, primarily with Laravel and Vue.js. Strong professional experience with both technologies is a must-have for this role. We are looking for someone who can be productive quickly in an existing production codebase and who is comfortable taking ownership of features from technical design through implementation and release.
You’ll collaborate closely with other developers, Product, Design, and QA to build new features, improve existing workflows, solve technical challenges, and continuously raise the quality of the platform.
Edda is a mature SaaS product with significant functional depth. The platform includes deal flow management, portfolio monitoring, contacts, documents, reporting, permissions, integrations, data processing, and complex workflows used by professional investment teams. This means you will regularly work on features involving real business logic, interconnected systems, and non-trivial technical decisions.
What you’ll do
- Design, develop, and maintain features using PHP, Laravel, Vue.js, and TypeScript.
- Work across backend services, APIs, databases, and frontend interfaces.
- Take ownership of features from specification through production.
- Build clean, maintainable, testable, and scalable code.
- Participate in technical design and architecture decisions.
- Improve the performance and reliability of existing parts of the platform.
- Review code and contribute to engineering standards and best practices.
- Work closely with Product and QA throughout the development lifecycle.
- Investigate and resolve production issues when needed.
- Help improve our development tooling, automated testing, CI/CD, and engineering processes.
- Contribute to reducing technical debt while continuing to ship meaningful product improvements.
- Laravel and Vue.js are must-haves
This is not a generic full-stack position where familiarity with any framework is sufficient.
You should have strong hands-on experience with Laravel and Vue.js in production environments and understand the ecosystems around both technologies.
On the backend, you should be comfortable working with Laravel applications involving APIs, queues, database models, complex business logic, authentication and permissions, background processing, and integrations with external services.
On the frontend, you should be comfortable building and maintaining complex Vue.js applications, managing state, creating reusable components, integrating APIs, and delivering responsive and reliable user experiences.
Building more with AI
AI is becoming an increasingly important part of Edda’s product.
We are progressively introducing more AI and LLM-powered features across the platform, with the objective of helping investment professionals extract information, automate repetitive work, interact with their data more naturally, and make better use of the large amount of information they manage inside Edda.
As a Full Stack Developer, you may work on features involving Large Language Models, AI APIs, structured data extraction, document processing, retrieval, prompt orchestration, and AI-assisted workflows.
You do not need to be an AI researcher or ML engineer. However, we are looking for developers who are curious about this space and interested in learning how to build reliable production features around modern AI models.
Experience integrating LLM APIs or building AI-enabled applications is a strong plus.
What we’re looking for
We are looking for an engineer who combines strong technical skills with a pragmatic product mindset.
You should be comfortable understanding complex requirements, making sensible technical trade-offs, working autonomously, and communicating clearly with both technical and non-technical colleagues.
We particularly value people who:
- Have strong professional experience with Laravel and Vue.js.
- Have experience working on production SaaS applications.
- Understand relational databases and SQL well.
- Are comfortable designing and consuming REST APIs.
- Care about software architecture, maintainability, and code quality.
- Understand automated testing and the importance of shipping reliable software.
- Can investigate problems independently and get to the root cause.
- Think about the user and the business problem, not only the implementation.
- Are comfortable working in English within an international team.
- Are curious about AI, LLMs, and how they are changing modern software development.
- Experience with TypeScript, Docker, CI/CD, cloud infrastructure, queues, search systems, performance optimization, or AI/LLM integrations is a plus.
As Edda continues to grow, you will have the opportunity to influence not only individual features, but also our architecture, engineering practices, and how we integrate AI into the next generation of the platform.
