Head of Production

Magna Seating d.o.o. Odžaci is looking for an experienced and results-driven Head of Production to lead manufacturing operations, develop production teams and ensure the achievement of safety, quality, delivery and productivity targets.

In this role, you will work closely with Production Planning, Quality, Engineering, Logistics, EHS and other support functions to ensure stable processes, effective problem solving and continuous improvement across the operation.

Key Responsibilities

• Align production plans, capacities, priorities and available resources with customer delivery requirements.
• Organize workforce deployment across projects, shifts and production cells, and monitor productivity and efficiency.
• Provide clear priorities and direction to Shift Leaders and Project Coordinators.
• Cooperate closely with Production Planning regarding deadlines, capacity constraints and priority changes.
• Lead, coach and develop Shift Leaders assess their competencies and define training needs.
• Monitor production performance, deviations, internal scrap and the implementation of corrective actions.
• Lead QRQC activities and structured problem solving at the point of occurrence, including timely escalation of risks.
• Establish cross-functional teams to resolve recurring production and quality issues and follow up on agreed actions and deadlines.
• Cooperate with Quality and Engineering to improve processes, workplaces, material flow, equipment and product quality.
• Propose and monitor improvements and innovations aimed at increasing process stability, flow and efficiency.
• Ensure timely exchange of information and clearly defined communication and escalation channels.
• Lead production meetings and monitor the implementation of agreed actions.
• Analyze key production indicators and initiate actions when results deviate from targets.
• Ensure compliance with standardized work, quality requirements, EHS rules and internal procedures.

Requirements

• Preferably 3 or more years of experience in the same or a similar production management role.
• Good understanding of manufacturing processes, capacity planning and production performance indicators.
• Proven leadership, organizational and communication skills, with experience in leading diverse production teams.
• Ability to solve problems in a structured manner, set priorities and make timely decisions.
• Active knowledge of English language (minimum B2 level).
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and experience with SAP or a similar ERP system.
• Experience with QRQC, 8D, PDCA, 5 Why, OEE and continuous improvement is considered an advantage.
• Ability to cooperate effectively across functions and work in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
