Your Role

You will be the first and defining voice of quality at this new plant – responsible for building the entire quality function from the ground up while remaining actively involved on the shop floor.
QMS & Compliance

  • Establish, implement and continuously improve the Quality Management System at the new plant
  • Ensure compliance with relevant standards incl. ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and customer-specific requirements
  • Create, maintain and develop QM documentation: processes, work instructions, inspection plans
  • Plan and conduct internal audits; support external audits (customer, certification, supplier)
  • Train employees in quality-related topics and actively promote a sustainable quality and improvement culture 
    Production & Process Quality
  • Ensure product, process and delivery quality across all stages of production
  • Apply and monitor quality methods: SPC, 8D, FMEA, control plans
  • Define and track quality KPIs; derive and implement improvement measures
  • Support industrialization and series launch of new components
    Measurement & Metrology
  • Hands-on operation of CMM systems (Coordinate Measuring Machines)
  • Sound understanding of metrology principles; knowledge of Zeiss Calypso is a strong advantage
  • Define inspection strategies for machined cast and forged parts
    Supplier & Customer Management
  • Participate in supplier selection, qualification and ongoing evaluation
  • Define and monitor quality requirements for suppliers; track corrective actions
  • Serve as the primary quality contact for internal and external customers
  • Manage customer complaints including root cause analysis and action tracking
  • Ensure on-time and high-quality customer deliveries

What You Bring:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Technology or a related technical field
  • Several years of experience in quality management within a production environment, ideally in machining, casting or forging
  • Hands-on CMM experience – Zeiss Calypso knowledge is a clear plus
  • Proven track record or strong affinity for plant start-up / ramp-up projects
  • Experience with SAP is an advantage
  • Strong decision-making skills – you take ownership and drive results
  • Startup mindset embedded in a corporate structure – you're comfortable with both
  • Willingness to travel to suppliers (domestic and international)
  • Driving license category B
  • Fluent English (written and spoken); German is a plus
  • High assertiveness, strong communication skills and a structured, solution-oriented work style
