DPM Metals Inc. is a Canadian-based international gold mining company engaged in the acquisition, exploration, development, mining and processing of precious metals properties. DPM operates across Serbia, Bulgaria, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Ecuador, with headquarters in Toronto, Canada.

For the needs of our Belgrade office, we are currently looking to recruit a candidate for the HR Business Partner position. The company provides an excellent opportunity to learn and to gain invaluable experience with a modern and very active company.

Description of responsibilities:

Personnel selection and recruitment.

  • Identifies any short-, medium- and long-term issues with personnel availability for the Company divisions they are responsible for and consults the respective managers.
  • Leads the personnel selection process for the divisions they are responsible for, including the following:
    • Collect information on vacant positions and makes arrangements to receive suitable applications in line with the job requirements;
    • Reviews each new role and suggests best personnel selection methods;
    • Prepares job ads;
    • Selects and liaises with recruitment agencies where required;
    • Arranges and conducts job applicant interviews with the respective managers;
    • Provides feedback to interviewed job applicants;
    • Prepares job proposals to approved applicants; communicates and coordinates  collection of documents required for hiring;
  • Is responsible for preparation and updates to the employee on-boarding program.
  • Is responsible for personnel on-boarding.

HR Process Improvements

  • Suggests improvements and takes part in the implementation of HR management processes: Personnel selection and recruitment, training and development, remuneration etc., in line with the management requirements and/or the changing environment;
  • Ensures high quality planning and follows the implementation of processes including performance evaluations, employee commitment assessments etc.;
  • Seeks and reviews feedback on HR processes;
  • Suggests new/improved tools to support key processes;
  • Keeps track of any new HR management trends and supports the implementation of best practices in the Company.

HR projects

  • Coordinates project introduction and implementation in line with the management of DPM operations in Bulgaria.
  • Follows the implementation of ongoing projects and ensures their proper management and quality output;
  • Takes part in strategic initiatives initiated by the corporate office.

Training and Development

  • Takes part in the process of defining training needs;
  • Identifies and takes part in the design preparation and delivery of trainings to support business needs;
  • Organizes and administers trainings to meet employee needs;
  • Collects feedback of any delivered trainings by following their effectiveness and efficiency;
  • As part of the employee development process, supports directors of the divisions they are responsible for, by consulting and advising on the delivery of training and development programs;
  • Supports the effective use of systems for identification and development of employees with potential; takes part in career development plans;
  • Maintains a database of completed trainings;
  • Takes part in the preparation of the Annual Mandatory Training Program and follows its implementation;
  • Takes part in the preparation of the Annual Training Budget;
  • Prepares reports and responds to queries on completed trainings.

Performance review

  • Takes part in the creation and introduction of a performance management system;
  • Coordinates the performance review process of the respective division;
  • Collects the filled out performance review forms and summarizes the information in them;
  • Provides the connection between performance review and employee development;
  • Makes improvement suggestions for the performance review process;
  • Takes part in the preparation of development plans of key employees.

Reporting

  • Prepares reports, assessments and reviews for the management;
  • Prepares monthly presentations and reports;
  • Prepares data and materials for the DPM Annual Sustainability Report; leads the data preparation process, updates and summarizes data on key indicators – personnel turnover rate, number of personnel, selection and recruitment, etc.;

Administrative and organizational support

  • Takes part in the clarifications and documentation of organizational changes;
  • Supports the managers in the assessment of any new of altered jobs; provides advice on the remuneration Company structure/ process;
  • Supports the annual remuneration review process;
  • Takes part in the drafting of job description;
  • Notifies directors/managers on employee contracts, which are about to expire;
  • Supports the preparation of events and initiatives;
  • Coordinates contractual relationships with providers of training and HR consultancy services.
  • Coordinates HR projects with government and EU financing.

Requirements:

Qualifications/Skills/Education:

  • University degree in HR, Business Administration, Economics or similar.
  • Knowledge of the Labor Code, Data Protection Act and other regulations applicable to their area of responsibility;
  • English language professional proficiency
  • 2+ years in the HR area
