Hydro-technical Responsible Engineer

Job description:

The PC Europe Builder is in need of a Hydro-technical Responsible Engineer for the National Stadium MEP project department in Belgrade, the Republic of Serbia. The daily tasks of this position include, but not limited to:

• Performs works in accordance with the documentation based on which the construction permit was issued, including the Main Design of Hydro-Technical Installations and the Design for Execution, in compliance with applicable regulations, standards, technical specifications, and quality requirements for the relevant works, installations, and equipment.
• Manages daily site operations and supervises the execution of works within his/her area of responsibility.
• Resolves construction issues within his/her scope of responsibility and maintains direct communication with the Supervising Engineer.
• Assists in the preparation of method statements and execution methodologies.
• Responsible for the preparation, organization, signing, and submission of quantity measurement documentation.
• Communicates with the Designer to clarify design queries and resolve engineering discrepancies.
• Hosts and coordinates external inspections.
• Drafts responses to official correspondence from the Supervisor and the Investor regarding works under his/her responsibility.
• Participates in progress meetings and technical coordination meetings with the Engineer, Subcontractors, and other project stakeholders.
• Communicates with Subcontractors' representatives and Site Managers and coordinates inspections of subcontracted works with the Engineer.
• Reviews daily and weekly reports and signs the construction log, construction book, and inspection records.

Qualification:

• Valid Serbian License 414 or 442 for a Hydro-Technical Responsible Engineer.
• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in the construction and supervision of hydro-technical installations (water supply, sewerage, drainage, etc.).
• Proven experience in project coordination and site management.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Civil Engineering (Hydro-Technical Engineering/Hidrotehnika) or a related engineering discipline.
• Additional qualifications that will be considered as an advantage:
  • Fluency in English and Serbian, both written and spoken.
  • Previous experience working for or collaborating with Chinese companies.
