Import Customer Service Associate

Mediterranean Shipping Company is searching for Import Customer Service Associate to join our Belgrade office. The successful candidate will be reporting to Customer Service Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinates all activities related to import shipments 
• Monitors import bookings through all stages (processing, subsequent status check, review of manifested charges) and, if necessary, processes import bookings in accordance with MSC procedures 
• Maintains regular contact with carriers and other MSC agencies involved in the business and coordinates activities in order to ensure the most efficient service and regular updates on the shipment status 
• Takes care and ensures full payment before final delivery / release of containers to clients from whom advance payment is requested 
• Prepares reports, records or statistics at the request of line manager or head office 
• Coordinates with other team members and departments to optimize and timely execute given tasks

Qualifications:

• University degree or relevant qualifications/experience pertinent to customer service in shipping
• Customer service-oriented attitude 
• Ability to effectively communicate with colleagues and customers 
• Proactive problem-solving style with a pragmatic, hands-on mentality 
• Excellent command of English, both written and spoken 
• Proficient at MS Office suite 
• At least 2 years of relevant experience
