Indirect Procurement Manager
DON DON is a leading international bakery company in the region, with a strong presence through its production units in Serbia, Slovenia, Croatia, and Montenegro.
We are looking for an experienced Indirect Procurement Manager to lead and execute sourcing strategies across indirect spend categories. In this role, you will drive procurement excellence, optimize supplier performance, deliver cost and value improvements, and ensure alignment with regional and global procurement strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strong expertise across indirect procurement categories in the Adria region (including market dynamics, supplier economics, and SRM)
- Partner closely with the Supply Management Team to understand and translate business needs into effective procurement strategies
- Define and implement category strategies for local spend areas, ensuring alignment with regional and global objectives and stakeholder expectations
- Ensure consistent and effective execution of regional and local category strategies within the country
- Identify, assess, and proactively mitigate category-related risks
- Drive innovative and alternative solutions that create competitive advantage, while constructively challenging business requirements
- Collaborate with regional category teams to define guidelines, KPIs, and drive best practice sharing
- Lead supplier negotiations to maximize value and optimize total cost for the organization
- Drive productivity initiatives and build a robust pipeline of value-creation projects across all key levers
- Ensure compliance with negotiated agreements throughout the end-to-end P2P process
- Manage and continuously improve supplier performance across quality, cost, service, and innovation
- Build, develop, and retain a high-performing team
- Embed sustainability principles into category management and sourcing processes
Candidate profile:
- Bachelor’s degree (in Business, Economics or similar)
- Minimum 3 years of sourcing experience in indirect categories
- Strong supplier management, negotiation, and project management skills
- Good understanding of procurement markets, suppliers, and cost drivers
- Analytical, results-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities
- Fluent in English
- Valid Category B driver’s licence
