Position Overview

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for preventive and corrective maintenance of plastic injection molding machines, auxiliary equipment, and factory infrastructure. This role is essential for ensuring equipment reliability, minimizing unplanned downtime, supporting production continuity, and maintaining high standards of safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance (PM) according to defined maintenance plans and schedules
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical failures on injection molding machines
Perform corrective maintenance to restore equipment operation as quickly and safely as possible
Calibrate and adjust machine parameters, including pressure, temperature, cycle time, and machine settings
Replace wear and spare parts such as heaters, thermocouples, cylinders, pistons, valves, sensors, motors, bearings, and other mechanical or electrical components
Maintain industrial chillers, granule dryers, material feeders, and auxiliary production equipment
Maintain vacuum material conveying systems, pipelines, and central material feeding systems
Maintain mold temperature control units (TCU) and cooling systems
Inspect, maintain, and troubleshoot compressors, compressed air systems, and pneumatic networks
Participate in mold installation, machine setup, and production changeovers when required
Monitor machine performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement
Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) of equipment failures and implement corrective and preventive actions
Maintain accurate maintenance records, machine history, and failure reports
Report spare parts requirements and support spare parts inventory management
Ensure compliance with safety procedures, environmental regulations, and company maintenance standards
Cooperate closely with Production, Engineering, Quality, Tooling, and other departments to maximize equipment availability

Requirements

Education & Experience

Technical secondary school or higher education in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field
Minimum 2–3 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
Experience with plastic injection molding machines is highly preferred
Experience in the automotive industry is considered an advantage

Technical Skills

Good knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical systems
Experience with preventive and corrective maintenance methodologies
Ability to read mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic drawings
Basic knowledge of PLC-controlled equipment is an advantage
Familiarity with industrial automation and auxiliary equipment
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office; experience with CMMS or ERP maintenance systems is an advantage
