IT Business Analyst – Data & Automation

About this role:

This position is part of the international IT organization and is based in Serbia. It supports business requirements in the areas of Data & Analytics (in particular SAP Analytics Cloud), process automation (RPA/APA), and IT projects. The role focuses on the structured gathering and translation of business requirements into standardized IT solutions. The position works closely with global IT functions at the Headquarter, which define methodologies, platforms, and governance, and provide active support.

Your Responsibilities:

1. Data & Analytics (SAP Analytics Cloud)

• Analyze and structure business requirements in the reporting and analytics domain
• Design and implement dashboards and reports using SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)
• Utilize and integrate data from SAP systems
• Ensure data quality and consistency in alignment with global data owners
• Support business units in data-driven decision-making
• Contribute to the standardization and reusability of analytics solutions

2. Process Automation (RPA/APA)

• Identify and evaluate automation potential in local business processes
• Design, develop, and operate RPA solutions using global platforms and standards (Automation Anywhere)
• Monitor, maintain, and continuously optimize existing automations
• Ensure stability, scalability, and proper documentation
• Collaborate closely with central automation teams (architecture, governance, best practices)

3. Support of IT Projects

• Contribute to the implementation of global and regional IT initiatives with local relevance (e.g., introduction of SAP Digital Manufacturing (SAP DM) in Serbia)
• Support local business units in the adoption and use of new systems
• Act as an interface between business, local stakeholders, and global IT teams
• Support requirements gathering, testing, rollouts, and stabilization (hypercare phase)
• Ensure compliance with global security and SAP standards as well as defined project guidelines

4. Stakeholder & Interface Management

• Act as a key contact for business units on data, analytics, and automation topics
• Closely align with global IT functions
• Translate business requirements into IT solutions and vice versa
• Support change management and user adoption
• Ensure transparent communication between local and global stakeholders

Your profile:

• University degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a comparable qualification
• Experience with SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)
• Basic understanding of SAP data structures is an advantage
• Experience in process automation / RPA & APA
• Understanding of end-to-end business processes (e.g., Finance, Supply Chain)
• Experience in IT project environments, ideally in international organizations
• Strong communication skills in an international environment
• Team player with a focus on cross-functional collaboration
• Very good command of English
