IT System Administrator

Position Purpose

The IT System Administrator is responsible for ensuring the stable, secure, and efficient operation of the company’s IT infrastructure. The role includes administration of user accounts, computers, servers, network equipment, and business IT systems, as well as providing technical support to employees.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain the company’s IT infrastructure, including desktops, laptops, servers, network equipment, printers, and other IT devices.
• Install, configure, maintain, and update operating systems and business software.
• Manage user accounts, access rights, security groups, permissions, and software licenses.
• Administer the Microsoft 365 environment, including Outlook/Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and related services.
• Manage Active Directory / Microsoft Entra ID and user access.
• Monitor servers, networks, backup systems, and other critical IT services to ensure availability and performance.
• Manage backup procedures and support data recovery and disaster recovery activities.
• Implement and maintain IT security measures to protect company systems, devices, accounts, and data.
• Manage antivirus, endpoint protection, system updates, and security patches.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, network, and connectivity issues.
• Provide day-to-day technical support to employees, both remotely and on-site.
• Prepare IT equipment, accounts, access rights, and applications for new employees as part of the onboarding process.
• Deactivate accounts, revoke access rights, and coordinate the return of IT equipment during employee offboarding.
• Maintain accurate records of IT equipment, software licenses, user accounts, and access rights.
• Cooperate with external IT service providers, vendors, and suppliers.
• Maintain technical documentation related to IT infrastructure, configurations, procedures, and system changes.
• Monitor and manage IT incidents and implement appropriate corrective and preventive measures.
• Support the implementation and enforcement of internal IT policies and procedures.
• Identify opportunities to improve IT infrastructure, security, system reliability, and internal IT processes.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Preferably 2–3 years of relevant experience as a System Administrator, IT Administrator, or in a similar role.
• Good knowledge of Windows operating systems and the Microsoft 365 environment.
• Experience with Active Directory and/or Microsoft Entra ID administration.
• Good understanding of networking technologies, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, LAN, and WLAN.
• Experience in managing user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
• Understanding of IT security principles, endpoint protection, patch management, and backup solutions.
• Basic knowledge of virtualization and cloud infrastructure is considered an advantage.
• Good command of English, both written and spoken.
