Junior Accountant

Adecco on behalf of our client Glovo, is looking for a Junior Accountant to join their Finance team in Belgrade. This is a great opportunity for an early-career accounting professional who wants to build a strong foundation in a fast-paced, international environment while working with a globally recognized tech brand.

As a Junior Accountant, you will support daily accounting operations and work closely with the Senior Accountant and Finance & Strategy Lead. You will be involved in financial closing, compliance, reporting, and audit-related activities, gaining hands-on experience across core accounting processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Support daily accounting activities, including posting journal entries and maintaining accurate financial records
• Ensure compliance with local tax and accounting regulations
• Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities
• Prepare and support account reconciliations
• Support the preparation of statutory financial statements
• Monitor changes in company policies, tax regulations, and legislation
• Ensure accuracy and proper maintenance of original documentation (contracts, VAT declarations, financial acts, etc.)
• Support the preparation and coordination of the annual external audit
• Ensure accounting policies and procedures are aligned with applicable legislation

What We are Looking For?

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
• Up to 2 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a multinational environment
• Knowledge of IFRS standards and general ledger functions

Technical Skills

• Hands-on experience with accounting software (Pantheon or SAP is a strong plus)
• Strong knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel

• High level of accuracy and responsibility
• Willingness to learn and develop professionally
• Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
