Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant to join our finance department in Retail business. In this role, you will be bookkeeper of our daily retail revenue. You will focus specifically on verifying daily store sales, auditing payment methods (cash, cards, gift cards), and booking retail sales statements into our accounting software Microsoft Dynamics 365. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for a recent graduate or someone with early accounting experience looking to build a career in the fast-paced retail industry.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Auditing: Verify daily sales data generated across our retail stores against Point of Sale (POS) reports.

Payment Method Verification: Reconcile daily payment types received (cash, credit/debit card settlements, gift cards) against bank statements and processor reports.

Booking Statements: Process and post daily, weekly, and monthly retail sales statements into the general ledger.

Discrepancy Resolution: Identify, investigate, and resolve any variances between store sales reports, cash drawer drops, and actual bank deposits.

Store Communication: Collaborate directly with store managers to clarify payment discrepancies.

Reporting Support: Assist the senior accounting team with monthly bank reconciliations and month-end closing procedures related to revenue.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• Experience: 0–2 years of experience in accounting. Priority in Retail business
• Software Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables) is required.
• Communication: Good communication skills to coordinate effectively with retail store operations
