KICKSTART - Test and Quality Assurance Junior Specialist - Intern

As a Test & QA Junior Specialist intern, you will join the team responsible for the quality of our TV applications used daily on Smart TVs, set-top boxes and streaming devices. You will gain hands-on experience in testing live TV, video on demand and interactive features, working alongside experienced QA engineers on real devices in a dedicated test lab.

What we will expect from you: 

• Prepare, maintain and execute manual test cases based on business requirements, acceptance criteria and user stories
• Test TV applications on different platforms and devices (Android TV / Google TV, Samsung Tizen, LG webOS, Apple tvOS, set-top boxes)
• Validate core TV features such as live TV, EPG (TV guide), catch-up, recordings, VOD, search, profiles and parental control
• Verify video playback quality, including startup time, buffering, stream switching, audio tracks, subtitles and resolution/HDR support
• Test remote control navigation, focus behavior and overall user experience on large screens
• Perform regression, smoke and exploratory testing before each release
• Test application behavior under different network conditions (slow connection, connection loss, Wi-Fi vs Ethernet)
• Document defects with clear reproduction steps, device details, logs, screenshots and video recordings
• Monitor the defect lifecycle and verify implemented fixes
• Validate backend services and APIs that support the TV applications
• Create and maintain test documentation, including test cases, test reports and release summaries
• Collaborate with developers, Product Owners, Business Analysts and other stakeholders

For a good start you will need:

• Final-year student or recent graduate, preferably in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technologies,
• Telecommunications or related fields
• Basic knowledge of software testing concepts and QA methodologies
• Good understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
• Interest in TV, streaming and media technologies
• Basic understanding of how mobile or TV applications work
• Familiarity with REST APIs and tools like Postman is an advantage
• Strong attention to detail and patience for repetitive, precise work on devices
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Fluent English (written and spoken)
