About OCSiAl Group:

The OCSiAl group (“OCSiAl”) is the world’s largest producer of graphene nanotubes with the headquarters in Luxembourg. In addition to the synthesis of nanotubes themselves, OCSiAl is developing technologies for their use in industry to improve specific properties of various materials and to create new record-setting nano-augmented materials.

In 2022, OCSiAl established its presence in Serbia where it produces graphene nanotubes along with nanotube-based products.

Job Description:

The position is based in Belgrade, Serbia. Visits to OCSiAl’s plants in Stara Pazova and Kragujevac, as well as occasional travel to other members of the OCSiAl group are expected.

Key responsibilities:

• Provide legal advice and support in all areas impacting OCSiAl activities and operations in Serbia (e.g., procurement, logistics, administration, HR, operations, data protection, governance, regulatory issues, etc.);
• Identify and flag for group management Serbian law issues as they arise;
• Draft, review, and negotiate various legal documents, including agreements required for OCSiAl’s business (e.g., purchase, supply, manufacturing, services, lease, or loan agreements with domestic or foreign companies, etc.), memoranda, and legal opinions;
• Advise on matters related to the adoption and implementation of various internal documents, including rulebooks, policies, risk assessments, and resolutions of shareholder and/or director;
• Ensure complies by OCSiAl with mandatory requirements of applicable Serbian laws and regulations;
• Communication with governmental authorities; and
• Manage outside legal counsel.

Required qualifications and experience:

• University degree in law (Master of law, LL.M), at least one degree must be obtained at a Serbian university, an additional international degree would be an asset but is not a requirement;
• 7+ years of experience PQE obtained in an international business environment - either at a law firm or in-house (experience at an international corporation or law firm would be an asset);
• Deep knowledge of Serbian laws, including solid experience in contract law, employment law, and on corporate legal matters with a multinational dimension;
• Excellent drafting and negotiation skills;
• Proficiency and fluency (verbal and written) in Serbian and English (knowledge of other languages would be an asset);
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as being part of a team;
• Exceptional interpersonal, communication (verbal and written) and time management skills; and
• Computer proficiency.
