About the Role
We are looking for a Logistics Specialist to join our team in Serbia. This role covers international transportation, customs operations, import/export activities and logistics cost management.
Both fresh graduates and experienced candidates are welcome to apply. We are looking for candidates with good English communication skills, strong learning ability and an interest in developing a career in logistics and supply chain.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage SPOT quotations and identify suitable transportation solutions considering cost, lead time and market conditions.
- Track transportation costs and support cost optimization, including bidding and SPOT price comparison and market research.
- Organize regular container transportation and communicate with logistics suppliers on a daily basis, including container pickup, port charges, demurrage and detention.
- Manage urgent and express shipments, including air express, charter and on-board courier shipments for import and export.
- Prepare transportation-related payment applications and follow up on the payment process with Finance.
- Handle import/export-related projects and ensure compliant import and export operations for the Serbia plant.
- Prepare and control documentation required for customs clearance.
- Monitor preferential origin calculations and EUR.1 certificate issuance.
- Execute FTZ-related regulations and customs procedures.
- Monitor and manage customs-related risks and support the handling of abnormal customs operations.
- Keep track of changes in Serbian import/export policies and maintain effective communication with customs authorities, logistics providers and other relevant external stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or above, preferably in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transportation/Traffic Engineering, Economics, International Trade or a related field.
- Fresh graduates are welcome to apply. Previous working or internship experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain, customs or import/export is an advantage.
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Basic knowledge of international transportation, logistics, customs or import/export is preferred; knowledge of Serbian logistics regulations, procedures or the local transport market is an advantage.
- Good command of MS Office and willingness to learn other IT tools and systems.
- Good organizational, coordination and problem-solving skills.
- Good teamwork and cross-cultural communication skills.
