Job Description

As a Maintenance Technician, you will help ensure the reliable and safe operation of automated storage and retrieval systems, conveyor technology, and related equipment. Depending on your technical background, your responsibilities will include mechanical /or electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance.

• Perform planned maintenance and on-site troubleshooting of automated equipment, conveyor systems, storage and retrieval machines, motors, and drive systems.
• Identify mechanical wear and replace components such as bearings, chains, rollers, and other wear parts when needed.
• Diagnose electrical faults involving sensors, motors, frequency converters, wiring, and safety circuits, and replace defective components.
• Carry out lubrication, inspections, adjustments, and preventive maintenance according to maintenance schedules.
• Check mechanical / electrical safety devices to ensure safe and reliable operation.
• Document maintenance activities, repairs, and component changes.
• Work closely with mechanical, electrical, and automation colleagues, as well as the remote engineering support team.

Requirements

• Educational background or vocational training in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, mechatronics, or a similar technical field.
• Basic technical understanding of mechanical and/or electrical systems, with the ability to troubleshoot faults and carry out maintenance tasks relevant to your area of expertise.
• Ability to read electrical circuit diagrams is an advantage for candidates focused on electrical maintenance.
• Knowledge of mechanical components such as bearings, chains, conveyors, and drive systems is an advantage for candidates focused on mechanical maintenance.
• English language skills, minimum B1/B2 level, for communication with the international team and remote engineering support.
• Flexibility to work in a 24/7 three-shift rotation. The six-person maintenance team rotates across all shifts, with night shifts typically occurring only once every few months per technician.
• High self-motivation, a solution-oriented mindset, and strong teamwork skills.

Additional advantages

• Experience in industrial maintenance, intralogistics, automation, or mechanical engineering.
• Knowledge of sensors, industrial drive technology, frequency converters, or basic Siemens PLC systems (TIA Portal / S7).
• Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics, or experience with automated warehouse systems.
