Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the transfer of new products and manufacturing processes from international site to Serbian facility, ensuring a smooth and successful production
- Hands-on engineering approach with the ability to work directly on the production floor, supporting operators, troubleshooting manufacturing issues, and implementing process improvements
- Drive Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement projects focused on productivity, quality, efficiency and cost reduction
- Analyze production performance, identify improvement opportunities, and lead projects focused on reducing labour costs, scrap, and non-value-added activities
- Implement and sustain Lean methodology including 5S, Visual Management, Standardized Work, Waste Reduction, and One-Piece Flow principles
- Optimize manufacturing layout, material flow, workplace organization to improve operational performance
- Support production teams during new product introductions, process transfers, and daily manufacturing challenges through structured problem-solving
- Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation, including SOPs, routings, visual work instructions, and process standards
- Lead cross-functional improvement projects and capital investment initiatives that support business growth and operational excellence.
- Work closely with Production, Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Global Manufacturing teams to ensure successful implement
- Monitor manufacturing performance against established standards and drive actions to achieve productivity and efficiency targets
- Collaborate with UK-based engineering teams, including periodic travel to the United Kingdom for training, product transfer, and project alignment
- Coach and mentor manufacturing leaders and operators on Lean principles, continuous improvement techniques, and best manufacturing practices
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree (technical science, or engineering)
- Experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Process Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Continuous Improvement, Lean Manufacturing, or a similar manufacturing role
- Experience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI), product transfers, or manufacturing process implementation
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production flow optimization, and operational excellence principles
- Proven ability to deliver process improvement projects that enhance productivity, quality, efficiency, and cost performance
- Practical experience with Lean Manufacturing tools such as 5S, Visual Management, Standardized Work, Waste Elimination, and Continuous Improvement methodologies
- Experience using structured problem-solving tools such as 5 Why, Fishbone (Ishikawa), 8D, or Root Cause Analysis
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to convert data into practical manufacturing improvements
- Experience in an assembly or electro-mechanical manufacturing environment is an advantage
- Effective communicator and team player, able to collaborate across Production, Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, and international teams
- Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable taking ownership of projects from concept through implementation
