Mechanical Design Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the project team to understand design requirements and project scope.
• Develop and create detailed mechanical designs for various components of projects.
• Utilize SolidWorks, Draftsight to create 3D models and technical drawings.
• Conduct design calculations and simulations to ensure mechanical integrity and functionality.
• Prototype testing and iterating on designs based on feedback and real-world testing.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting during the production and assembly phases.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience in mechanical design, preferably in the smart home automation industry.
• Expertise in SolidWorks, Draftsight for CAD design and modeling.
• Experience on SolidWorks Part, Drawing, Assembly, Sheet Metal modules.
• Strong understanding of mechanical principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Knowledge of thermoplastics, metals etc.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes (Injection molding, Milling, Turning, Laser cutting, Sheet bending etc.).
• Knowledge of coating methods (anodizing, painting etc.).
• Experience with prototyping and testing mechanical designs.
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve complex mechanical problems.
• Good communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in the smart home automation industry or related fields.
• Familiarity with additional design tools or software (Solidworks simulation (Static, Thermal analysis), Lighttools).
