Role Purpose
The National Key Account Manager is accountable for developing sustainable, long‑term partnerships with Rubix’s strategic national customers.
The role focuses on value‑based selling, driving customer performance through solutions, expertise and operational excellence, while delivering profitable growth for Rubix.
The NKAM acts as the single point of accountability for assigned key accounts at national level and ensures consistent deployment of Rubix solutions across all customer sites.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Key Account Management
- Manage and develop a portfolio of national and multi‑site key customers
- Build trusted relationships with senior customer stakeholders (procurement, operations, engineering)
- Define and execute long‑term account plans aligned with customer needs and Rubix strategy
- Act as the voice of the customer within Rubix
Commercial & Contract Management
- Lead national negotiations (framework agreements, pricing structures, rebates, SLAs)
- Manage tenders, RFQs, and contract renewals
- Ensure contractual compliance, governance, and performance monitoring
- Drive profitable growth through value creation rather than price‑only positioning
Solutions & Customer Performance
- Promote and deploy Rubix value‑added solutions, including:
- MRO optimization and rationalization
- Vending and inventory management solutions
- Digital procurement solutions (webshop, punch‑out, e‑procurement integrations)
- Identify opportunities to improve reliability, efficiency, safety and total cost of ownership
- Coordinate national roll‑outs across customer sites
Cross‑Functional Leadership
- Work closely with local sales teams, specialists, logistics, operations, digital, and finance
- Ensure alignment between local execution and national strategy
- Support change management and solution adoption at customer level
- Ensure a consistent Rubix experience across all locations
Performance Management & Reporting
- Prepare and lead structured business reviews with customers
- Monitor KPIs, savings initiatives, margins, and service levels
- Provide accurate forecasts, pipeline reporting, and growth plans
- Contribute to continuous improvement of Rubix key account methodologies
Required Experience & Skills
Experience
- Significant experience in Key Account Management within B2B environments
- Proven track record managing national or multi‑site industrial customers
- Strong background in industrial distribution, MRO, or technical services
- Experience leading complex commercial negotiations and tenders
- Commercial & Technical Understanding
Strong understanding of:
- Industrial maintenance and MRO environments
- Customer procurement and supply chain processes
- Contractual frameworks and profitability drivers
- Familiarity with digital procurement tools and systems is a strong advantage

Education & Languages
