Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced NAV / Business Central Developer to design, develop, maintain, and support Microsoft Dynamics NAV and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central solutions. The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, functional consultants, and technical teams to deliver scalable, efficient, and secure ERP solutions that support business operations and growth.

The role requires strong technical expertise in Business Central development, integrations, customization, and system optimization, along with the ability to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Development & Customization

• Design, develop, customize, and maintain Microsoft Dynamics NAV and Dynamics 365 Business Central applications.
• Develop extensions and custom modules using AL language.
• Modify existing functionalities and create new features based on business requirements.
• Upgrade and migrate NAV environments to newer versions of Business Central.
• Develop and maintain reports, pages, code units, queries, and workflows.
• Integration & Automation
• Develop and maintain integrations between Business Central and third-party systems.
• Create and manage APIs, web services, and data exchange processes.
• Automate business processes to improve operational efficiency.
• Support data migration and synchronization activities.

Support & Maintenance

• Troubleshoot and resolve application issues, bugs, and performance bottlenecks.
• Provide second and third-line support for Business Central users.
• Monitor system performance and implement improvements where necessary.
• Perform testing, debugging, and quality assurance activities.
• Business Analysis & Collaboration
• Gather and analyse business requirements from stakeholders.
• Translate functional specifications into technical solutions.
• Collaborate with finance, operations, HR, and other departments to improve ERP processes.
• Participate in project planning, implementation, and deployment activities.
• Documentation & Compliance
• Maintain technical documentation for developments, integrations, and configurations.
• Ensure developments follow Microsoft best practices and internal standards.
• Support audit, compliance, and security requirements related to ERP systems.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years' experience developing in Microsoft Dynamics NAV and/or Dynamics 365 Business Central.
• Strong knowledge of AL development language.
• Experience with C/AL (for legacy NAV environments).
• Experience with Business Central extensions and customization.
• Understanding of ERP business processes, particularly Finance, Procurement, Inventory, and Sales.
• Experience with SQL Server and database management.
• Knowledge of web services, APIs, and system integrations.
• Familiarity with source control and deployment practices.

Preferred Qualifications

• Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central certifications.
• Experience with Azure services and cloud deployments.
• Experience with Power Platform (Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps).
• Experience with DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of financial services or fintech environments.
