Our Niš - based subsidiary, Mekoprint cables d.o.o. Niš, specializing in cable and harness assembly, is looking for a skilled NPI Manager to support and optimize our production processes.
Job Responsibilities / Tasks:
The NPI Manager is responsible for the effective planning, coordination, execution, and successful implementation of New Product Introduction (NPI) projects across the organisation.
The position includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:
- Coordinate the activities of the NPI teams located in Poland and Serbia;
- Provide functional leadership and indirect coordination of the Production Engineering team in Serbia in close cooperation with the Production Engineering Manager based in Poland;
- Manage and supervise the New Product Quotation (RFQ) process;
- Evaluate product manufacturability by applying Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles;
- Lead New Product Introduction projects from RFQ phase to Start of Production (SOP);
- Organise, coordinate and chair project meetings, ensuring effective communication between all stakeholders;
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of Bills of Materials (BOM), routings and Work Instructions;
- Supervise the preparation of production workstations and ensure an efficient production flow before serial production starts;
- Maintain effective communication and cooperation with customers throughout the project lifecycle;
- Effectively manage engineering changes while ensuring complete traceability of all implemented changes;
- Coordinate the implementation of Engineering Change Orders (ECO), Engineering Change Notices (ECN) and Engineering Change Requests (ECR);
- Assess the impact of engineering changes on production, quality, logistics, costs and delivery schedules;
- Ensure customer quotations are prepared accurately and submitted within the required deadlines;
- Initiate and promote continuous improvement activities aimed at increasing operational efficiency and improving internal processes;
- Participate in the budgeting process by proposing solutions that improve manufacturing competitiveness and operational efficiency;
- Promote and implement Lean Manufacturing principles and best practices across all three company locations.
Proffesional skils:
- University degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline;
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a manufacturing environment;
- Minimum of three (3) years of people management experience;
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in New Product Introduction (NPI) project management;
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings;
- Good knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and methodologies;
- Comprehensive knowledge of cable assembly and wire harness manufacturing processes;
- English language proficiency at a minimum of CEFR Level B1;
- Very good command of Microsoft Office applications;
- High level of independence, accuracy and accountability;
- Experience with cooperation with multidisciplinary teams.
