Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform occupational health and safety (OHS) activities in accordance with Article 50 the Occupational Safety and Health Act.
• Monitoring and enhancing the Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) management system in compliance with legal requirements and internal standards.
• Conducting inspections and overseeing the implementation of safety measures across workplaces and operational locations.
• Organizing and delivering training programs, awareness campaigns, and initiatives aimed at promoting a strong safety culture.
• Participating in risk assessments and the preparation and maintenance of OHS-related documentation.
• Investigating workplace incidents, injuries, and other safety-related events, while defining preventive and corrective actions.
• Participating in preventive and periodic inspections and assessments of work equipment, working environment conditions, electrical and lightning protection installations, and other elements relevant to employees’ occupational health and safety.
• Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to improve working conditions and maintain high safety standards.
• Providing professional support in project implementation, contractor management, and the oversight of high-risk activities from an OHS perspective.

Required Qualifications:

• University degree (minimum 240 ECTS credits) obtained through academic or professional studies within the fields of Engineering and Technology or Natural Sciences, including Biological Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Physical Sciences, Physical Chemistry, or Chemistry.
• Valid Occupational Safety and Health Advisor License.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in the same or similar positions.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Intermediate level of English proficiency.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems (ISO 45001).
