HMD Transport is seeking a highly-motivated Operations Specialist to join our brokerage team based in Belgrade.

As an Operations Specialist, you will play a crucial role at HMD Transport by providing shipment status and flow for all the customers, internal and external, in a timely and efficient manner to achieve maximum profitability and customer satisfaction.

• Proven experience in logistics, transportation, freight brokerage, carrier companies, or a related field is required;
• Strong understanding of logistics operations and the ability to effectively manage and resolve challenges involving loads, carriers, and drivers;
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to act quickly and effectively in a fast-paced environment;
• Strong ability to set priorities, manage competing demands, and make sound decisions based on urgency and business impact;
• Excellent communication skills, with a professional and service-oriented approach to internal and external partners;
• Advanced ability to multitask while maintaining accuracy, attention to detail, and operational efficiency;
• Proficiency in English, both written and verbal.

What Would Be Your Responsibilities?

• Support the team in monitoring and tracking daily shipments to ensure timely and accurate movement and delivery;
• Help identify and prioritize urgent operational matters and escalate issues to the appropriate team members when needed;
• Respond to emergency and non-emergency calls, gather relevant information, and provide timely support to the team;
• Assist with resolving pickup and delivery issues by coordinating with carriers, drivers, customers, and internal teams;
• Support the team in maintaining daily freight schedules and adjusting priorities as operational needs change;
• Ensure accurate and timely data entry, documentation, and updates;
• Maintain proactive communication with Customer Service, Sales, and Operations teams to support smooth day-to-day coordination;
• Assist customers with shipment status inquiries and provide timely and accurate updates;
• Communicate professionally and courteously with customers, carriers, and internal teams via phone and email;
• Support team members with day-to-day operational tasks and help ensure priorities are handled efficiently;
• Contribute ideas and feedback that can help improve workflows, optimize processes, and increase team efficiency;
• Collaborate with the team to resolve operational challenges and contribute to consistent, quality results.
