Payroll Specialist

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurate and timely processing of payroll for the  company with around 250 employees, ensuring full compliance with local labor laws, tax regulations, and company policies. This role requires strong technical skills in payroll systems and a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in payroll processing.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end payroll processing for all employees (monthly, occasional, and final settlements)
• Calculate salaries, bonuses, allowances, deductions, overtime, sick leave, vacation pay, and other compensations
• Ensure timely and accurate submission of payroll data, tax withholdings, social contributions, and statutory reports to relevant authorities
• Maintain employee payroll records and personal data in local databases
• Reconcile payroll-related accounts and resolve any discrepancies
• Handle employee inquiries regarding payroll, deductions, and benefits
• Create payroll-related reports and analyses for internal and external customers
• Participate in payroll system improvements and process automation initiatives
• Stay up to date with changes in labor legislation, tax laws, and social security regulations

Requirements

1. Minimum 3 years of professional experience in payroll processing (essential)
2. Proven experience working with Mali Poslovni Programi (MPP) software – advanced user level required
3. Strong knowledge of Serbian labor law, tax regulations, and social contributions
4. Excellent numerical accuracy and high attention to detail
5. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced functions, VLOOKUP, pivot tables, etc.)
6. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
