DPM Metals Inc. is a Canadian-based, international mining company engaged in the acquisition, exploration, development, mining, and processing of precious metals properties. DPM operates across Bulgaria, Bosnia, Serbia and Ecuador with headquarters in Toronto, Canada.
For the needs of our Operations department in Belgrade, we are currently looking to recruit a candidate for the Personnel Administration and Remuneration Supervisor position in our local subsidiary DPM AVALA d.o.o. Beograd.
Role Purpose:
Engaged with the calculation and payment of remunerations, payroll report drafting, providing administrative services to employees regarding work attendance and income received, to ensure fair remuneration, compensation and benefits practices and reliable supporting documentation, compliant with legal and corporate requirements.
Description of responsibilities:
- Manages the processing of monthly remunerations and ensures their timely payment by preparing and sending out all necessary records to the banks and the pay office;
- Supervises data preparation and related calculations, and verifies the accuracy of all monthly remunerations paid;
- Prepares and sends out all necessary records , related to staff remunerations for accounting purposes;
- Keeps track of labour and social security legal amendments and supervises that they are properly reflected in the
- Company’s remuneration, compensation and benefits policies, to ensure that the latter are updated, competitive and compliant with applicable legal requirements;
- Supervises that the payroll system is properly updated in line with the requirements of the above-mentioned policies, upon changes in the organizational structure and Collective Bargaining Agreement provisions;
- Drafts in-house remuneration and compensation related analyses;
- Manages the administration and allocation of additional staff benefits;
- Supervises and controls the drafting of employment contracts , in line with the legal requirements and in-house procedures;
- Supervises the reporting of Company working hours and controls four-monthly and monthly office hours to ensure that there is no overtime, except in emergencies provisioned by the law.
- Supervises the preparation of all internal and statistical reports on employment;
- Organizes the preparation of the Personnel and Payroll Report
- Organizes the timely submission of relevant personnel data to the Government institutions;
- Prepares other requested reports and statements;
- Supervises and is accountable for ensuring compliance with any controls required by in-house and third party auditors.
- Analyses and develops the budget accounts for the wages fund in Company departments and units
- Controls budget expenditures;
Requirements:
- University degree in Economics, Business or a related discipline
- At least 6 years of experience in a similar position
- Experience with payroll calculations in accordance with Serbian labor and tax regulations
- Strong knowledge of tax, labour and insurance-related statutory acts
- Good understanding of the Labour Code, Social Security Code and Personal Data Protection Act
- Knowledge of Internal Labour Regulations and legislative requirements related to ensuring health and safety at work
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel
- Experience working with HR software and personnel administration systems
- Good command of English
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality and meet deadlines.
