Preproduction Section Manager

HSL-Feka Automotive d.o.o., a growing automotive supplier specializing in advanced lighting solutions for global OEMs, is looking for a qualified candidate for the position of Preproduction Section Manager. The role is responsible for managing and coordinating all preproduction activities (Injection, Metalization, Hard-Coating), ensuring a smooth project and serial production in line with defined quality, cost, and timing targets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and coordinate preproduction activities for new product launches (NPI/NPD) across injection molding, hardcoating, and metallization
• Ensure readiness of production processes, equipment, and documentation for all technologies within scope
• Approve Standard Operating Instructions and process documentation, including those related to hardcoating and metallization
• Coordinate Run@Rate and production trials across all processes
• Ensure training and readiness of operators and team leaders within all responsible areas including injection technicians and Set Up operators
• Monitor KPIs (quality, cost, delivery) and implement corrective actions
• Collaborate with R&D, Quality, Logistics, and Production departments to ensure alignment across all technologies
• Ensure compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 14001, and internal standards
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, 5S, Kaizen, SMED, etc.) across all processes
• Lead, develop, and manage team performance and workforce planning for all responsible areas

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, or related field
• 5–10 years of experience in the automotive industry
• Experience in plastic injection molding and assembly processes (automotive lighting is an advantage)
• Experience or strong understanding of hardcoating and metallization processes in an industrial environment
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials
• Experience with Core Tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA)
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles
• Experience with ERP systems (IFS/MAS or similar)
• English language proficiency (B1/B2 level)
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
