Position Overview:
The Program Manager Manufacturing Transformation & Advance Development is responsible for translating strategic business, manufacturing, and technology initiatives into executable transformation programs.
The role serves as the link between strategy and execution by defining target operating models, developing business cases, establishing governance structures, building implementation roadmaps, and mobilizing cross-functional organizations.
The primary objective is to transform ideas into implementation-ready programs and create the organizational framework required for successful execution and sustainable business value realization.
The position focuses on program creation, mobilization, stabilization, and transition to operational ownership rather than long-term operational program management.
Key Responsibilities:
Transforming strategic ideas into executable programs
- Development of transformation and growth initiatives from concept to implementation readiness.
- Creation of target operating models, business cases, and strategic roadmaps.
- Establishment of program governance, KPIs, reporting structures, and decision-making processes.
- Mobilization and leadership of international cross-functional teams.
- Coordination across Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, Finance, and IT.
- Structuring complex initiatives and translating management vision into actionable execution plans.
- Building sustainable program organizations capable of delivering measurable business value.
- Driving early program execution until stabilization and successful handover.
- Supporting technology, operational, organizational, and digital transformation initiatives.
- Identifying strategic opportunities to improve competitiveness, productivity, and operational performance.
- The position operates globally and requires the ability to influence stakeholders, align diverse functions, and drive change without direct line-management authority.
Transformation Program Development
- Translate strategic initiatives into structured transformation programs.
- Define future-state operating models and organizational concepts.
- Develop business cases, investment proposals, and implementation roadmaps.
- Define program objectives, KPIs, milestones, and benefits realization plans.
- Assess risks, dependencies, organizational impacts, and resource requirements.
Program Mobilization & Governance
- Establish governance frameworks and decision-making structures.
- Define workstreams, accountabilities, and RACI models.
- Implement professional Program and Portfolio Management methodologies.
- Create reporting structures, RAID processes, and benefits-tracking mechanisms.
- Prepare and facilitate Executive Steering Committees and Management Reviews.
Organizational Development
- Build and mobilize international cross-functional transformation teams
- Create structures capable of operating across multiple sites and functions
- Align stakeholders across Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, Finance, and IT
- Lead program setup and stabilization phases
- Ensure smooth transition to operational or program ownership
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechatronics, Business Engineering, or related discipline.
- Minimum 5–10 years of experience in manufacturing, engineering, industrial operations, transformation management, or operational excellence.
- Experience in multinational industrial organizations.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and industrial value chains.
- Proven track record in structuring and launching complex transformation initiatives.
- Experience operating in highly matrixed and international environments.
