DPM Metals Inc. is a Canadian-based, international mining company engaged in the acquisition, exploration, development, mining, and processing of precious metals. DPM operates across Serbia, Bulgaria, Bosnia and Ecuador with headquarters in Toronto, Canada.

For the needs of our “Čoka Rakita” Project department in the in the territory of the municipality of Žagubica, we are currently looking to recruit a candidate for the Projects Planner position.

Role Purpose:

To develop, maintain, coordinate, evaluate and prioritize projects schedules during planning, design and construction phases as per the projects strategy and in collaboration with multidisciplinary and multinational teams within and outside of the organisation in order to ensure proper progress and timely completion of the projects in compliance with Company policies and procedures.

Description of responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and monitor master and detailed project schedules for construction and renovation projects, ensuring alignment with project budgets, progress, and delivery objectives.
  • Review and analyse schedule data, contractor schedules, and progress reports to identify critical activities, delays, clashes, risks, and potential impacts on the project critical path.
  • Prepare regular planning and progress reports, including schedule updates, S-curves, resource histograms, and short-term look-ahead plans for corporate and project management teams.
  • Support project teams in progress measurement, forecasting, corrective action tracking, and the integration of contractor progress into overall project master schedules.
  • Provide guidance, training, and onboarding for planning and scheduling personnel, while promoting best practices in project controls, planning procedures, and reporting standards.
  • Participate in management, project, consultant, and contractor meetings, providing scheduling insight and timely reporting on key project issues and delays.
  • Assist with contract administration, tender and scope documentation, project controls audits, and the maintenance of scheduling records and project archives for future reference.
  • Support the implementation and daily use of project and contract management systems across site and corporate teams.
  • Ensure all planning activities are performed in compliance with HSE and Occupational Health & Safety requirements, and promptly report any risks, irregularities, or incidents.

Requirements:

  • University degree in Engineering, with a minimum of 10 years of experience in construction, project management, or industrial operations, including at least 5 years in schedule development and/or progress tracking on engineering or construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction and engineering processes, productivity rates, project lifecycle phases, Critical Path Method (CPM), Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), and Earned Value Management (EVM).
  • Advanced proficiency in Oracle Primavera is mandatory, along with strong MS Office 365 skills and the ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
  • Experience working on industrial sites and within multicultural, multidisciplinary teams, with strong communication skills for reporting schedule variances, risks, and recommendations to project teams and management.
  • Good command of English, strong time management skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Project management or scheduling certification such as PMI or ACCE is considered an advantage.
