Purchasing/Sourcing Engineer

The role involves developing new suppliers, managing the localization of projects in Europe, ensuring supplier compliance with quality standards, leading cost-effective negotiations, and coordinating cross-functional teams. It is preferable to have engineering background and automotive industry experience.

Location:

This position is based in Šabac, with regular business trips across Serbia and Europe.

Responsibilities:

• Develop new suppliers and extend localization project in Europe
• Organize and manage activities to help certain suppliers, who don’t yet have the required certification, to meet the standards of IATF 16949
• Complete supplier nomination for new projects, ensure that proto samples can be delivered in time and validated during New Product Development
• Achieving cost effective annual price negotiation with suppliers
• Cooperation within the organization to achieve various metrics (Cost, Quality & Delivery improvement)
• Develop cost analysis and sourcing summaries to lead sourcing process

Qualifications:

• University degree in Engineering or Business Administration
• Relevant experience in automotive or other production industries
• Must be fluent in English and Serbian
• Leadership skills sufficient for leading and supporting cross functional project teams
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively within, and outside of the organization
