QA/QC Engineer

For the needs of our “Čoka Rakita” Project department in the in the territory of the municipality of Žagubica, we are currently looking to recruit a candidate for the QA/QC Engineer position.

Role Purpose:

We are seeking an experienced QA/QC Engineer to support quality assurance and quality control activities on a mining project. The successful candidate will ensure that construction, contractor, inspection, testing, documentation, and handover activities are completed in line with project specifications, approved drawings, Inspection and Test Plans, quality procedures, and applicable industry standards.

Description of responsibilities:

• Overseeing daily site QA/QC inspections and supporting QC inspectors.
• Reviewing contractor quality documentation, method statements, ITPs, check sheets, and test records.
• Coordinating inspections, laboratory testing, material verification, calibration control, and quality records.
• Managing non-conformances, corrective actions, punch list items, and quality reporting.
• Ensuring contractor work complies with project requirements, specifications, procedures, and HSE standards.

Requirements:

• Degree or diploma in Engineering, Construction, Mining, Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of QA/QC experience in mining, mineral processing, heavy industrial, infrastructure, EPCM, construction, or related project environments.
• Relevant QA/QC experience in mining, heavy industrial, construction, or EPCM project environments.
• Good knowledge of quality systems, inspections, testing, NCR management, and project documentation.
• Ability to read drawings, specifications, procedures, and technical standards.
• Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and commitment to safe work practices.
• Certification in internal auditing, welding inspection, NDT coordination, concrete inspection, coating inspection, Six Sigma, or quality management is an advantage.
• Previous experience working with contractors, EPCM teams, laboratories, regulators, or client representatives in remote mine-site environments is preferred
