Quality Engineer

We are looking for a dedicated and results-driven QUALITY ENGINEER to join our IMI team.

General purpose of the job: 

• To ensure the quality of the production according to the client's requirements, and the product specifications in accordance with the company's Quality Management System;
• To participate actively in the engineering trainings and summarize the information regarding the periodic analyzes of discrepancies and the customer center and to monitor the implementation of the prescribed corrective actions.

Main duties and responsibilities:

• Participation in the design and implementation of new products as well as in the process validation of the production lines;
• Participation in all trials, preparation of data analysis and pushing for improvement/corrective actions;
• Organizing and being actively involved in SPC, FMEA, QRQC activities and analysis for the projects/products that he/she is responsible for;
• Driving a documented continuous improvement program;
• Preparation and compiling of all necessary documentation that has to be submitted to the customer(s) - PPAP, APQP;
• Customer claims handling, root cause analysis, suggesting and implementing corrective actions by defining and coordinating a team;
• Preparation of regular reports/analysis on scrap rate, level of defects and customer claims; preparing and updating assignment sheets for every problem encountered;
• Acting as internal auditor within the company and as an active participant during external customer audits;
• Involved in the training process of operators with regard to defining and clarifying quality criteria;
• Writing and editing procedures and working instructions about control operations;
• Announcing emergency situation in case of nonconformity; analyzing the nonconformities and making decisions in case of nonconformities;
• Daily interface with customers on quality topics from project startup up to the end of the product lifecycle.

Required personal and professional skills:

• Engineering Degree – in Electronics preferably;
• Very good command of English language – oral and written;
• Excellent communication skills;
• Ability to work under pressure and to develop self-control;
• Autonomous (including fast adaptation to challenging environment and willingness for self-learning);
• Computer literacy – MS Office;
• Knowledge on quality systems - IATF 16949 – considered an advantage;
• Internal auditor qualification – considered a plus;
• CAD software knowledge is an advantage;
• Relevant professional experience in a production environment is a serious advantage;
• Data analysis and decision-making skills.
