As a Regulatory Compliance Specialist, you will support the Head of Compliance in the day-to-day execution of compliance monitoring activities across the business. The role is centered on helping ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, internal policies, and industry standards, while supporting all teams in fostering a strong, forward-thinking compliance culture.

Key responsibilities:
Assist in conducting compliance monitoring reviews as directed, in line with the Compliance Monitoring Plan, including tracking of the implementation of compliance recommendations.
Extract and compile data for the preparation of compliance reports.
Support the Head of Compliance with regulatory gap analysis and development of action plans to address any gaps and regulatory requirements.
Assist with the oversight of the Company’s Policy Suite to ensure that policy owners review documents in a timely manner.
Support the Head of Compliance with the management of the supervisory dialogue including administration of regulatory inspections.
Perform research on compliance issues as they arise from internal and external inquiries and document research.
Any other duty that is ancillary to the role.
Requirements :
Post Secondary or Tertiary Level of Education in related fields of Banking & Financial Regulations, Compliance & Risk Management, Corporate Governance or similar
Between 2 - 5 years’ experience in a compliance, regulatory, or audit role withing a regulated industry.
Comfortable reading through complex regulatory text, and ability to translate these into actionable tasks.
Skills and experience:
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
Meticulous and attention to detail is a must
Well versed in MS Office Suite (including, Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
Proficient in drafting clear, concise, and well-structured reports
Diligent, organized, self-motivated and result-driven whilst being able to use their own initiative with the ability to work independently
Enthusiasm, commitment and willingness to learn for professional development.
Team player, with an ability to multitask whilst attention to detail and adherence to deadlines are given utmost priority.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
