RNO Engineer

For our expert team in 5G/LTE/UMTS Optimization, we are currently seeking RNO Engineers to complement our team in Belgrade.

As RNO Engineer, you will:

Be responsible for analyzing mobile network performance, detecting network issues through data analysis, identifying root causes, and proposing optimization measures to improve network performance and customer experience. Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Analyze drive-test data, including log-file analysis, KPI evaluation, and failure classification,
• Verify and validate drive-test data to ensure data quality and consistency,
• Analyze mobile network performance using various tools and KPIs,
• Identify network issues and areas for improvement related to coverage, capacity, quality, interference, mobility, accessibility, retainability and throughput,
• Perform root cause analysis of network performance degradations and service failures,
• Analyze LTE and 5G network behavior and identify performance gaps between technologies, locations, configurations, or operators,
• Recommend radio network optimization measures, parameter changes, and network features that can improve performance and user experience,
• Evaluate the impact of implemented network changes and verify improvements through before/after analysis,
• Identify network trends and recurring performance patterns based on measurement and network data,
• Collect, understand and analyze customer requirements and translate them into technical analyses and deliverables,
• Prepare customer reports, technical presentations and clear summaries of findings and recommendations,
• Collaborate with other technical teams and departments to investigate complex network issues,
• Communicate technical findings and recommendations to different management and customer levels.

YOUR PROFILE:

As an Optimization Engineer, your skills and qualifications will preferably include:

• University degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, IT or another related engineering field,
• Previous experience with mobile network and optimization projects,
• Knowledge of mobile communication networks and Radio Access Network (RAN) architecture,
• Knowledge of LTE and 5G NR technologies and radio network functionality,
• Understanding of key radio network concepts such as coverage, interference, handovers, mobility, capacity, throughput and radio quality,
• Ability to analyze drive-test data and interpret network KPIs,
• Tools experience (R&S/TEMS/Keysight/Actix/MapInfo, etc.)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills,
• Ability to work with large datasets and identify relevant trends, patterns and anomalies,
• Good organizational and communication skills,
• Detail-oriented, proactive and self-motivated approach to work,
• Ability to work both independently and as part of an international team,
• Fluent in English (spoken and written).
