Safety & Compliance Coordinator/Safety Manager

We are a US trucking company looking for an experienced, detail-oriented, and proactive Safety & Compliance Officer to join our team in our Niš office. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring our fleet and drivers fully comply with all DOT and FMCSA regulations, maintaining our safety scores, and mitigating risks.

Key Responsibilities:

•  Log Book Monitoring: Review driver logs (HOS) daily via ELD platforms (e.g., Samsara, Motive) and handle violations.
•  Compliance Management: Monitor and enforce compliance with DOT and FMCSA regulations.
•  Driver Qualification (DQ) Files: Maintain and update driver files, including CDL renewals, Medical Cards, and annual MVR checks.
•  Hiring & Onboarding: Manage safety background checks for new drivers (PSP, Clearinghouse, drug testing).
•  Claims & Accidents: Investigate accidents, handle insurance claims, and implement corrective actions.
•  Safety Audits: Prepare company documentation for potential DOT audits and maintain high SMS/CSA scores.

Requirements:

•  Proven experience in a Safety/Compliance role within the US trucking industry (Minimum 1–2 years).
•  Deep knowledge of FMCSA rules, Hours of Service (HOS), and DOT procedures.
•  Proficiency in trucking software and ELD platforms.
•  High level of English proficiency (written and spoken).
•  Ability to work from our office in Niš.
