Safety & Compliance Specialist – US Trucking Industry

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Safety & Compliance Specialist to join our growing trucking company. The ideal candidate will have experience in DOT compliance, driver safety management, and FMCSA regulations within the US trucking industry.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee driver qualification processes, background checks, and employment verification
• Manage DOT compliance, driver files, and annual MVR checks
• Handle Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse and testing program administration
• Monitor FMCSA safety scores and implement improvement strategies
• Track and analyze DOT inspections, violations, and accident reports
• Manage post-accident procedures, including testing, documentation, and reporting
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date data in FMCSA Portal, ProTransport, Samsara, Motive, or similar systems
• Conduct daily reviews of inspections and unreported incidents
• Handle permits such as NY, KY, NM, OR permits and specialized transport documentation

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience in the US trucking industry
• Strong knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT compliance, and safety standards
• Experience with safety and fleet management software (Samsara, Motive, ProTransport, etc.)
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Leadership and team management abilities
• Fluent English (written and spoken)
