Full-Time Position

We are seeking an experienced IFTA & Audit Compliance Specialist to join our trucking company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of IFTA reporting, fuel tax compliance, mileage tracking, and audit preparation to ensure full regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and file quarterly IFTA tax reports accurately and on time.
• Collect, organize, and verify fuel receipts, trip reports, and mileage records.
• Audit and reconcile fuel purchases, mileage data, and jurisdictional reporting.
• Monitor compliance with IFTA regulations and industry requirements.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation for all fuel tax filings.
• Prepare and organize documentation for IFTA audits and other regulatory audits.
• Conduct internal audits to identify discrepancies and ensure data accuracy.
• Work closely with dispatch, accounting, and operations teams to gather required information.
• Analyze fuel and mileage data and provide reports to management.
• Respond to audit requests and assist during audit processes.

Qualifications

• Previous experience with IFTA reporting and compliance in the trucking industry.
• Proven experience preparing and managing IFTA audits.
• Strong understanding of fuel tax regulations, mileage reporting, and audit procedures.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience working with transportation software and ELD systems.
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Strong organizational and record-keeping abilities.
• Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.
• English proficiency (written and verbal).
• Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with multi-state fleet operations.
• Knowledge of DOT and trucking industry compliance requirements.
• Experience working with Samsara, Motive, Geotab, or similar ELD platforms.
