Safety Specialist – Trucking Industry

Extra Mile International is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Safety Specialist to join our team and support our operations in the US trucking industry.

If you have experience with driver safety, DOT compliance, and FMCSA regulations, and you are looking for an opportunity to grow within a professional transportation company, we would like to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough pre-employment screenings for new applicants.
• Generate and review MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) and PSP (Pre-Employment Screening Program) reports based on drivers' licenses.
• Perform FMCSA Clearinghouse record checks
• Communicate effectively with approved applicants via phone and email.
• Schedule DOT pre-employment drug tests through Med Stop.
• Conduct online driver onboarding and hiring.
• Gather required paperwork to create hiring files.
• Collaborate closely with the Recruitment Team to efficiently process applicants and maintain a smooth hiring workflow.
• Obtain necessary trip permits.

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of previous experience in a Safety role within the US trucking industry
• Strong knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT requirements, and trucking safety procedures
• Proficiency in English, both written and verbal
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to analyze records and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Location: Niš Office
Working Hours: Monday–Friday, 15:00–23:00
