Safety Transportation Assistant

Position Overview

We are looking for a full-time Safety Transportation Assistant to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and possesses a strong background in prioritizing tasks and following through on safety-oriented goals. You will be responsible for ensuring our fleet remains compliant with all transportation regulations and responding to safety incidents in real time.

Key Responsibilities

• Incident Management: Monitor crashes and coordinate post-accident drug and alcohol testing in real time.
• Investigations: Investigate driver incidents, communicate with law enforcement, and address reports of reckless driving.
• Compliance: Track DOT recordable crashes and manage DataQ preventability challenges.
• Regulatory Oversight: Stay current on state and federal regulations and assist in updating company safety policies.
• Documentation: Maintain safety binders, company compliance records, and assist with safety audits.
• Licensing & Permits: Help file quarterly IFTA (NY & OH), renew IFTA licenses, UCR, and SCAC certificates.
• Communication: Handle safety-related calls and inquiries from drivers, management, and third parties.
• Administrative Support: Manage safety-related mail, office security protocols, and address updates.

• English Proficiency: Excellent command of the English language is mandatory.
