About us

Grow Surf d.o.o. is the sales operation for B2Bware, a B2B commerce platform built in Vienna. You would be employed by Grow Surf and you would sell B2Bware and nothing else - one product, one team, one market.

B2Bware connects our clients' ERP systems to every way their customers order - a self-service portal, a mobile app for field sales, and an AI order hub that reads orders out of emails and PDFs and posts them straight into the ERP.

We sell to manufacturers, wholesalers and distributors who are still re-keying orders by hand. At one of our clients (Doppler, Austria) order processing is 70% faster with 90% fewer errors since going live.

The product is built in Vienna, our team is remote. We have customers, we have a product, we have results. What we are missing is someone who carries buyer conversations through to signature.

About the role

You will work the opportunities that come out of our outbound, our events and our partners - and carry them from the first real conversation to close.

Buyers are in the UK and Western Europe. Operations directors, IT directors, owners of mid-sized companies. The conversations are consultative and they take time - the buyer has to be convinced of two things: that the platform will connect to the system they already run, and that it pays back against what manual processing costs them today.

Be honest with yourself about this - it is not a role where a full pipeline lands on your desk and you sign it. Opportunities arrive early, some are weak, some you will have to develop yourself. When the feed is thin, you go and find your own.

You report to the Head of Growth.

What you will do

  • Run opportunities from qualification, through discovery and demo, to proposal and signature.
  • Develop early-stage opportunities from our SDRs and partners into real pipeline.
  • Source your own opportunities when the feed is light - this is expected, not optional.
  • Run conversations with directors and owners, and quantify what manual order processing actually costs them.
  • Work with technical colleagues on the integration question that sits at the centre of every deal, and carry that question in front of the buyer yourself.
  • Keep HubSpot clean - accurate stages, logged activity, honest forecasting. The pipeline has to be true at a glance.
  • Feed back what you learn in conversations - what lands in the message, where we lose, who we should be targeting.

Who we are looking for

We do not look at titles, we look at evidence.

Essential:

  • B2B sales experience, minimum 2 years. It does not matter whether you were an SDR, inside sales or an AE - what matters is that you have run sales conversations with business buyers and can talk about the real numbers behind them.
  • English at the level where you hold a conversation with a British operations director without thinking about it. Spoken and written. We test this in the interview.
  • Willingness to hunt. If you have only ever worked leads someone handed to you, this will not be easy.
  • CRM discipline. If CRM entry is someone else's job in your view, we are not for you.
  • The ability to hold the technical side of the story. You do not need to be a developer, but you need to understand what an ERP is and why integration is not trivial.

Nice to have:

  • Experience selling software, SaaS or integration solutions.
  • Experience selling into manufacturing, wholesale or distribution.
  • Experience with HubSpot.
  • An understanding of how ERP and ecommerce systems work in a real trading business.

This is probably not the role for you if:

  • You expect pipeline to arrive on its own and your job is to sign it.
  • You have sold simple products to a single decision-maker, with no technical question and no payback
  • case.
  • You are not comfortable running an hour-long call in English with someone senior to you.
