Senior Accountant

Adecco is a global leader in HR and workforce solutions. For our client, Glovo, one of the fastest-growing global tech platforms in the on-demand delivery industry, we are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented professional to join their Finance team in Belgrade.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Maintaining accounting records in line with local statutory and tax regulations
• Performing regular general ledger reviews and ensuring data accuracy
• Supporting month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities (IFRS 9, 15 & 16)
• Preparing statutory financial statements, tax declarations, and VAT reporting
• Monitoring tax exposure and ensuring proper accounting treatment
• Cooperating closely with auditors, tax authorities, and internal stakeholders
• Leading annual external audit preparation and coordination
• Following changes in tax legislation, accounting standards, and internal policies
• Supporting continuous improvement of accounting and financial processes

What we are looking for:

• 3–5 years of experience in accounting, finance, audit, or reporting
• Experience in multinational companies, shared service centers, accounting agencies, or Big4 environments
• Strong understanding of local accounting and tax regulations
• Experience with audits, tax inspections, statutory reporting, and closing activities
• Professional working proficiency in English
• Advanced Excel skills
• ERP experience (Pantheon is a plus; SAP implementation planned)
• Analytical, structured, proactive, and communicative mindset
• Someone who enjoys ownership, teamwork, and learning new things
