Senior Accountant

Your Responsibilities

• Assisting in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with German Commercial Code (HGB) and IFRS
• Evaluating and optimizing existing processes, implementing new processes, and driving digitalization in your role as an SAP key user
• Supporting the successful migration of the existing ERP system to SAP S/4HANA
• Providing support in accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger accounting
• Performing all tasks related to fixed asset accounting (including coordination of the fixed asset inventory)
• Actively contributing to general business management issues
• Working closely with external auditors
• Taking on and contributing to projects and special topics in the finance department

Your Profile

• Completed degree in economics – ideally, successful completion of the ACCA exams
• Extensive experience in a comparable position with a truly hands-on mindset
• Strong analytical thinking skills
• Strong proficiency in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with the German Commercial Code (HGB)—ideally with knowledge of IFRS
• A mindset focused on driving change
• High level of commitment (to closing entries and all operational accounting tasks, such as independently performing journal entries)
• Commitment to project work and the ability to collaborate
• Very good practical knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel
• Proficiency in SAP—ideally with experience using SAP S/4HANA
• A structured and independent work style, as well as strong communication skills
• Fluency in English is required—knowledge of German is preferable
