On behalf of our client, we are currently looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join AHK Service d.o.o. In this role, you will play a key part in developing and continuously enhancing a new business service offering, contributing to the delivery of high-quality accounting services and supporting the company's continued growth.
Job description
- Managing Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable
- Preparing payroll calculations and payout schedules
- Compiling local financial statements and balance sheets in compliance with Serbian law
- Supporting local bookkeeping processes using Kompass, the AHK-wide proprietary software
- Preparing internal bookkeeping reports for departmental expenses as per management guidelines
- Handling employee registration and deregistration with relevant social and pension insurance bodies
- Calculating taxes and liaising with tax authorities
- Assisting in the preparation of the annual financial business plan and financial reporting in Kompass (ongoing monthly and annual)
- Maintaining and updating fixed asset and inventory records
Position requirements
- University degree in Economics, Finance, or a related field (preferred)
- Minimum of three years of relevant experience in accounting and bookkeeping
- Strong knowledge of Serbian Accounting Law and IFRS
- Familiarity with working in an international business environment is a plus
- Proficient in English (knowledge of German is considered a plus)
- High level of responsibility, precision, and organizational skills
- Strong team spirit, analytical thinking, and effective communication skills
- Proficiency in Pantheon accounting software is required
- Official accounting certification is considered an advantage
