Job Summary
We are now looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Business Engineer to join our overseas team. The main responsibility of this position is to conduct thorough market research on local construction materials, labor costs and relevant engineering expenses, collect accurate and up-to-date pricing data, and complete quotation sheets and bidding documents as required for the company’s project bidding work. The ideal candidate shall have good market insight, data sorting ability and rigorous working attitude, to support the company’s smooth bidding and project cost control.
Key Responsibilities
- Local Market Pricing Research: Conduct full market research and investigation on various engineering materials, equipment, auxiliary supplies and local labor costs in the local market, track market price fluctuations, supply conditions and supplier information in real time, and establish and update a complete local price database.
- Bidding Quotation Compilation: Cooperate with the company’s project bidding work, Be responsible for the review of BOQ quantities during the project bidding process. Conduct inquiries and price negotiations based on bidding requirements, perform bidding cost estimation and price analysis, calculate detailed engineering costs, and ensure the quotation data is accurate, reasonable and compliant.
- Supplier Coordination & Verification: Communicate and negotiate with local material suppliers, labor teams and equipment leasing merchants to verify price authenticity and obtain favorable and reliable quotation resources; screen and maintain high-quality cooperative suppliers.
- Document Sorting & Data Archiving: Prepare and complete bidding documents (including both printed and electronic versions).Sort out market research reports, quotation documents, bidding materials and supplier data, keep complete and standardized archives, and provide effective data support for subsequent project costing and bidding work.
- Cross-departmental Collaboration: Assist in communication and coordination between the Business Manager and consultants. Cooperate with the project department, cost department and management team to feedback market price information in a timely manner, assist in analyzing project cost risks, and optimize quotation strategies.
- Complete other relevant business work assigned by the company.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or above, major in Engineering Management, Cost Engineering, Business Administration, Construction Engineering or related fields is preferred. A minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience.
- Familiar with local engineering market, proficient in various engineering materials and labor pricing standards in the region; experience in project bidding, cost accounting or business quotation is a strong priority.
- Keen market insight, careful and rigorous working style, strong data collection, sorting and analysis capabilities, able to accurately grasp market price dynamics.
- Proficient in office software (Excel, Word, etc.), capable of making detailed quotation sheets and data statistics independently; familiar with bidding document preparation norms is preferred.
- Good communication and negotiation skills, strong sense of responsibility and teamwork spirit; able to work independently and efficiently with high execution.
- Fluent in local official language and English (both written and spoken), no barriers in daily work communication and document writing.
- Legally eligible to work in the local country/region, familiar with local business rules and engineering industry norms.

- Developing and maintaining a network of reliable contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers across different construction disciplines (civil, structural, MEP, finishing works, etc.)
