Senior Financial Reporting and Tax Specialist

Toyo Tire Corporation was founded in Japan in 1945 and is a producer of tires for passenger vehicles, light trucks, trucks & buses, as well as automobile components. It operates worldwide, including the US, Canada, Mexico, Australia, Germany, UK, Netherlands, Italy, Russia, China, Thailand and Malaysia. It has more than 13,000 employees worldwide and represents 11th largest tire manufacturer in the world. The company Toyo Tire Serbia was established in 2019, construction of a plant started in 2020, with production kicked off in 2022. The company plans to invest 390 million Euros and employ more than 500 employees in Inđija plant. The plant encompasses Tire Test track and the first bifacial and currently the largest Solar Power plant in Serbia which is under construction.

Job description:

• Maintain and control the general ledger and supporting accounting records.
• Calculate and review VAT and other tax liabilities.
• Prepare and submit tax returns.
• Monitor changes in accounting and tax legislation and ensure proper implementation within the company.
• Independently prepare annual financial statements and corporate income tax returns.
• Actively participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.
• Cooperate with external auditors, tax advisors, and government authorities.
• Analyze and resolve complex accounting and tax issues.
• Identify tax risks and propose appropriate solutions.
• Participate in the improvement of internal accounting and tax procedures.

Profile:

• University degree in Economics, Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Minimum 9 years of relevant experience in accounting and taxation
• Proven experience in the preparation of annual financial statements, corporate income tax returns, tax balance sheets and tax filings, as well as in the interpretation and application of tax regulations and cooperation with external auditors and tax authorities
• Strong knowledge of accounting regulations and tax legislation, including Accounting Law, VAT, Corporate Income Tax and Personal Income Tax regulations
• MS Excel skills
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP experience is considered an advantage)
• Professional working proficiency in English

• Experience in a manufacturing company and/or an international business environment
• Knowledge of transfer pricing regulations and the tax treatment of international transactions and cross-border services
• Experience cooperating and communicating with external auditors during statutory audits
