Senior Power Systems Engineer

Role Description

Go2Power Consulting is seeking an experienced Senior Power Systems Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development, analysis, and integration of modern power systems. In this role, you would be involved in a wide range of projects, including power system planning, feasibility assessments, grid connection studies, and network performance analysis, with a particular focus on the integration of battery energy storage systems (BESS) and solar photovoltaic (PV) generation.

What You'll Do

• Power system planning, feasibility, and grid connection and compliance studies
• Detailed modeling of power systems
• Analyze the integration of PV and battery energy storage systems
• Communicate with a multidisciplinary team of engineers on numerous energy projects
• Provide technical support to clients and prepare documentation for relevant authorities

This role is for you if you have:

• Master’s degree in electrical engineering
• 4+ years of experience in power systems
• Experience with at least one of the following tools: DIgSILENT PowerFactory, PSS®E, PSCAD, ETAP
• Experience performing load flow, short-circuit, and dynamic stability studies
• Familiarity with protection coordination and power quality studies
• Solid understanding of power system planning, feasibility studies, and connection studies
• Experience with Python for automation of power system studies and simulations
• Excellent knowledge of English, written and spoken
• Knowledge of battery storage systems and solar power plants is a plus
• Ability to work independently, strong analytical skills, and a team player mindset
